I've never been associated with torture but I know one thing about it: Torture destroys people. I doesn't matter whether they were innocent or the worst kind of human beings. I think it is particularly pertinent the past two years because we just had an ambassador murdered in Libya and are becoming more involved in a possible regional war around Syria. Libya and Syria are both countries we used to send people to for the express purpose of having them tortured. It looks to me like somehow the process has backfired on us and even though we keep denying that we did it everyone can read in the papers that we did. For example today:
Corrupt UK Officials Connected To Murder & Torture
Earlier this month the US moved Patriot Missiles into Turkey's southern border to protect those areas from Syrian airplanes and Scud Missiles. The very same day Russian unloaded 24 cruise missiles at Syria's port of Tartus. These missiles can't be shot down by any US missile and are extremely accurate. They have a 1500 lb warhead and could destroy an aircraft carrier. (In response the USS Eisenhower withdrew from the eastern mediterranean coast. This is a major escalation towards a war that President Obama definitely does not want.
